Inktel to Support Marine Recruiting – DM News

By Scott Hovanyetz, Senior Reporter

Direct marketing agency and teleservices provider Inktel Direct will provide inbound call center support for Marine national recruiting efforts under its new contract with the U.S. Marine Corps, the company said last week.

Financial details were not disclosed. Agents at Inktel’s contact center in Miami Lakes, FL, will provide bilingual telephone support.

The effort is a lead-generation campaign, Inktel said. Agents will handle calls that come into the Marine Corps’ toll-free recruiting line and match callers with recruiters in their areas.

Along with teleservices, Inktel provides database, fulfillment, interactive marketing, direct mail and lettershop services. In October 2003, Inktel announced it would provide fulfillment and database technology to the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, and in the same month announced an inbound contact center service contract for Business Matchmaking, a joint effort by Hewlett-Packard and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
