The Director of Operations oversees the organization’s operational policies, objectives, and initiatives. Plans and directs the layout of office, equipment, and production facilities. The Director of Operations will conduct studies in operations to maximize work flow and space utilization. Will also ensure facility safety and security policies are being met. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the attainment of short and long-term financial operational goals. The Director of Operations will direct the development of the organization to ensure future growth and demonstrate expertise in a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
· The Director of Operations will directly oversee day-to-day activities that take place in production (fulfillment, assembly & letter shop), warehousing (shipping/receiving & inventory control), and client services (client relationship liaison).
· It is the duty of the director of operations to develop operational plans, efficiently implement them and improve the efficiency of the overall operations.
· Prepare and submit an annual operational budget, manage effectively within this budget, and report accurately on the progress made and challenges encountered.
· Manage and cultivate existing relationships with clients or vendors and expand recurring revenue streams.
· Provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in programs and services, developing a broad and deep knowledge of all programs.
· Provide programmatic leadership and input for all strategic plan or implementation processes.
· Implement new directives for organizational growth that align with corporate goals.
· Set new guidelines for policy and process improvements.
· Lead proposal efforts including completing project scoping
· Effectively convey our message in both written and verbal business development discussions
· Facilitates team and client meetings effectively
· Holds regular status meetings with project team
· Keeps project team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news
· Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors
· Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
· Inspire coworkers to attain goals and pursue excellence

Candidate must have at least one of the following qualifications:
ü Previous Distribution Center or 3PL Experience
ü Industrial Engineering Degree
ü Lean, Six-Sigma Experience
Other Experience/Qualifications Include:
· Bachelor's degree in Operations, Industrial Engineering or similar discipline
· 8 or more years of distribution center operations experience
· Extensive network of operations/logistic talent
· Ability to develop individuals and establish a positive team dynamics
· Experience in improving business processes
· Quick thinking and ability to make decisions for quick corrective action
· Experience with creating, analyzing, and maintaining budgets
· Experience in e-commerce fulfillment programs is preferred
· Excellent communication, written and presentation skills
· Excellent analytical, problem solving skills and decision making skills
· Strong Relationship Builder
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
